Award-winning director who specialises in cinematic long form films as well as being an accomplished self-shooter for broadcasters, specialising in arts, history and obs-docs.

Strong track record of over 20 years producing and directing critically acclaimed, award winning films for BBC Network, RTE, Screen Ireland, Guardian Documentaries, Channel 4/Discovery, and Screen Scotland.

Docs are my passion and I love digging deep and getting to the heart of the story.

Recently completed projects include:
Feature doc 'CHASING THE LIGHT' (Screen Ireland/ RTE) about a Buddhist community rocked by allegations against their revered teacher (nomibated Best Irish Film at 2024 Cork Film Festival, winner Best Doc at Louth International Film Festival, International premier at Thessaloniki Film Fest in 2025, nationwide theatrical release and RTE TX.

Feature doc/ series 'LISTEN TO THE LAND SPEAK' {RTE} - about the intersection between mythology, landscape and ecology. Winner Best Cinematograohy at 2025 Galway Film Fleadh.

'THE ARTIST AND THE WALL OF DEATH' (Screen Ireland/ Creative Scotland/ BBC Scotland/ RTE} which premiered at the Thessaloniki Film Fest in March 2022 and was nominated for 'Best Feature Doc' at the Irish Film Acacemy awards. 

Other recent work includes a landmark arts series 'Epic West', presented by Tommy Tiernan for RTE. 

Currently based in Dublin and Belfast after 15 years based in London/ Glasgow spent mainly working for the BBC. 

I also have a background in current affairs and lots of experience setting up shoots and filming abroad.

In 2017 I set up Lifeblood Films to specialize in creative documentaries for Irish and international audiences and high-class promotional content for clients including UNICEF and the Irish National Theatre.

My work has screened at numerous international film festivals, including Tribeca, NY Op Docs, Full Frame, Sydney, Edinburgh, Hot Springs, Dallas, Dublin, Cork, Fastnet Film Festivals. I film much of his work and am especially interested in observational, history and arts films.

I'm a former Sheffield Documentary Festival ‘Future Producer’ and hold an MA in Journalism from Dublin City University. I've worked closely with everyone from world famous presenters to 1st timers to nervous contributors in sensitive situations and have been able to gain their trust to tell the story in the best possible way.
