A qualified solicitor, I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in international copyright law at Kings College London. I am a mentor for KCL and ScreenSkills, a voting member of BAFTA and sit on PACT's film policy working group.

Currently, a ScreenSkills evaluator to assess and accredit training courses for the screen industries in 2020-2024. In 2023 Malcolm gained a Screenskills Level 3 Award in Education + Training, the Nationally recognised Train the Trainer and Teaching qualification is a new award, designed for the UK screen industries. Malcolm was first approved as an industry professional to prepare and run training courses for the Creative Skillset’s Screen Academies, after being invited to attend the National Film and Television School's (NFTS) Training for Trainers programme.
Malcolm is also a Mentor for students and alumni at King’s College London, University of London 2018-2024.
