Selected by MIP Markets as a ‘Producer to Watch’ for MIPTV, MIPDRAMA and MIPDOC in Cannes in 2023. After being chosen as a high-potential independent producer working on international co-productions across genres.

A qualified solicitor, I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in international copyright law at Kings College London. I am a mentor for KCL and ScreenSkills, a voting member of BAFTA and sit on PACT's film policy working group.

Produce and executive produces award-winning productions with emerging and established filmmakers: • Genres: Factual, Specialist Documentary, Arts, Music, Multicultural, Drama, Feature Film • Wealth of experience across development, production, and delivering content for international distribution. • Comprehensive knowledge of industry contracts, licences and assignments, in most formats & genres. • Assist with financing, development, scheduling and pre-production, as well as production and post production. • Represent projects at major international markets and festivals • Proficient in project assessment and presenting the commercial aspects to public and private funding sources. • Proven experience of successful people management and relating to emerging and established practitioners. • Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel & managing data (powerpoint, online, virtual learning environments).

Currently, a ScreenSkills evaluator to assess and accredit training courses for the screen industries in 2020-2024. In 2023 Malcolm gained a Screenskills Level 3 Award in Education + Training, the Nationally recognised Train the Trainer and Teaching qualification is a new award, designed for the UK screen industries. Malcolm was first approved as an industry professional to prepare and run training courses for the Creative Skillset’s Screen Academies, after being invited to attend the National Film and Television School's (NFTS) Training for Trainers programme.

Malcolm is also a Mentor for students and alumni at King’s College London, University of London 2018-2024.
