I have worked at Radio 4 for a long time now as a radio producer/journalist casting interviews and discussions on a daily basis. often under extreme pressure! The magazine nature of the programme(s) I have worked on mean that that I have to tap into an extremely wide range of worlds to cast those we need to discuss a particular topic - from politics to violence against women, from health issues to historical questions, from arts debates to fashion decisions. And whilst these will mostly involve 'experts' of some kind it also includes vetting the general public to take part sometimes too. Previous to the my time on radio I also worked in television docs for six years so my casting skills in fact started there. I am keen to return to television at this point and know my extensive experience and contacts would work well in finding and casting interesting and articulate people for any kind of project.
