My introduction to broadcast media came as a result of being a member of the BBC Drama Writers Room 2020/21. With the BBC I developed, KILL THE POOR, an hour-long drama pilot, which was subsequently optioned and developed by two award-winning production companies. I've had four projects optioned and developed subsequently and enjoyed my first broadcast credit in 2023 with my original audio drama, THE DEATH OF MOLLY MILLER, for BBC Radio 4. (View my CV for further details.)
Before working in broadcast media, I worked in Theatre, and am the founder and Creative Director of the award-winning Wound Up Theatre Company. With productions of my scripts, the company has enjoyed numerous critically acclaimed sell-out runs at international festivals, London Off-West End transfers and national tours. (See
www.wounduptheatre.com for details.) As well as receiving coverage in The Guardian, Sky News and on the BBC, as well as countless regional and trade publications. Wound Up this year is continuing to develop its Edinburgh Fringe hit play (which I produced and script edited) TONES: A HIP-HOP OPERA, which will be touring the UK in the Autumn ahead of its extended London run in 2025.
