I have been fortunate to previously work multiple days filming for Sex Education Season Two, working as a Crowd Trainee Artist alongside the makeup department, make-up designer Pamela Smith and make-up supervisor Robyn Macdonald.
I have also worked as a daily make-up artist for Rockadove Productions, creating looks for the NHS and small videos for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and many more.
I prioritised the continuity of being consistent with make-up and recreating my work on multiple days and through my experience, I have an extended knowledge of time management and my place within the set and other crew, allowing me to prioritise time and work to provide a swift but accurate finish within my work.
I have also extended my work experience through being employed at MAC Cosmetics as a retail makeup artist for three years. This saw me prioritising my time, increasing my communication skills and problem solving whilst under pressure. These skills would be essential for working on set and I know that my previous experience of working in this environment would give me an understanding of how a set works. This role also saw me exploring different genres of makeup, keeping up with the latest trends and extending my work to challenge myself daily.
It is my aspiration to be employed alongside professional artists. This has been my goal from the beginning of my career.
