In the United States, his music has been used in TV shows including A&E’s Emmy-nominated, “Wahlburgers”, “Donnie Loves Jenny”, “Nightwatch”, “Lock Up”, “Sexy Beasts”, “According To Alex”, “Killer Kids”, “Young Marvels”, “Big Brew Theory” and “Bizarre Foods”.
He has scored for 14 feature films including Turkish box office hits like “Recep Ivedik” series as well as Turkey’s first animation film “Kotu Kedi Serafettin / Bad Cat”.
His latest short film scores include “Make Me A King” directed by Sofia Olins which has been officially selected for BFI FLARE Festival in London, along with many other festivals and “A Glimpse” directed by Zinnie Harris which was awarded with the “Best Short Drama” in Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival. His sound design in “Swipe Right” directed by Simone Lahbib has been nominated for the “Best Sound Design” in Ignite Film Festival.
As a jingle writer Oguz has composed music for many brands and worked with CP+B London, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, DDB, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Thompson, MullenLowe, McCann Erickson, 4129Grey and many boutique agencies and film production companies in Istanbul. He has also composed corporate theme music for Turkish national TV channels.
Oguz has a masters’ certificate in “Orchestration for Film and TV” from Berklee College of Music.
