Throughout my degree, I focused a large majority of my historical enquiry on socio-cultural experiences in black communities and visual histories that communicated the past through artistic expression. In my final year, I culminated my knowledge in a dissertation that explored how African American women reclaimed their identity during the Harlem Renaissance.Prior to undertaking a history degree, I attended Kingston University to complete a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. During a six-week rotation I worked within four main areas: visual communication, three-dimensional design, fashion and fabrication and fine art. Eventually specialising in visual communication, which allowed me to experiment with graphic design, advertising, art direction, illustration, animation and film. Highlighting the dynamics of racial power, my final major project explored the Sexualisation of Black Bodies through photography and model-making.Currently, I am working as an operations assistant for the sales development team and revenue department at GlobalWebIndex. My role brings together sales systems, processes and tools in order to increase sales efficiency for the team. Working with software platforms such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Hubspot, Zoominfo and LinkinedIn Sales Navigator to prospect leads and assist with data acquisition. I build and manage a number of live spreadsheets, contributing to large projects and the mapping-out of untapped markets.
