Read MoreI'm a question writer, with a breadth of experience from the high-end to the popular, having written for Pointless, Mastermind, The Weakest Link, The Hit List, Puzzling, The Wall and Tenable. I take pride in my questions being original, interesting and entertaining and I have a proven ability to write a variety of questions in different formats and different subjects, from the highbrow to the lowbrow and everything in between.
As well as question writing for Pointless, I also had the responsibility of doing the image editing for the various picture rounds and have checked the scores from the polling results of the 100 people that we ask for each question. For me, there is no task too big or small. Writing specialist subjects for Mastermind, I've shown that I'm prepared to immerse myself in doing all the necessary research to get the best questions for the subject.
I am extremely hard working and bring a positive, flexible, friendly and professional attitude to all that I do. I bring both quality and quantity to my work and am able to deliver large volumes of work under pressure. I am highly computer literate and an expert user of all Microsoft Office applications and Photoshop, with a degree in IT to back that up. I have a strong general knowledge across a range of subjects, excellent writing and editing skills, adapting content to suit the audience. I have sound editorial judgement, meticulous attention to detail and I'm a stickler for accuracy. I ensure that I use a wide range of resources and that the questions I write are simple to answer. Prior to my question writing roles, I spent twelve years at the BBC in editorial roles in TV scheduling and later on in content creation for BBC Bitesize and following that, the BBC homepage, where I honed my editorial, researching and writing skills.
