During my time at BRIT, I was fortunate enough to work on various productions such as X Factor and The BRIT Awards which was a great way to see the working world within production and to gain the ability to learn quickly on the job and be open to instructions. I also assisted with a week long, back to back, set of performances at Chickenshed for their annual Christmas show where I learnt how to build and maintain internal and external relationships along with assisting cast and crew with costume changes, lighting queues and ticketing.
Once successfully completing my BRIT school studies, I pursued my passion and continued my studies on to a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where I was responsible for creating engaging, entertaining and informative performance workshops, which toured around the country. These workshops were a great way for me to gain skills not only in production and script writing, but also honing my time management and organizational skills to prioritize efficiently and effectively. I was able to also advertise my workshops through specifically created Instagram accounts where I gained knowledge of how social media can be used to promote the productions.
I strongly believe that I would benefit hugely from this role, to further develop the skills and knowledge I have already acquired in the wider production industry and to gain hands-on experience and learn from those experienced members of the team around me.
