Hi. I'm a Producer with a clean driving licence and own transport and a permanent base in the North - but with flexibility to travel. My experience is mainly factual, fact-ent, and documentaries - but again I'm flexible to explore different genres.

Prior to working in TV, I worked for Victim Support assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assaults with emergency safety planning. This followed working in PR for six years. People sometimes tell me my pre-TV experience 'isn't relevant'. I (respectfully) disagree. The nature of my work in both the private and charitable sector means first and foremost I'm good at communicating with a diverse range of people and have a wide (and unusual) skill set to drawn on - of which I'm really proud of and worked hard for.

I'm confident in a studio, gallery or on-location on productions. I've also worked in development (mainly fact-ent but keen to mix it up a bit). And I'm capable in casting a range of contributors and experts... from personal injury solicitors... learner drivers... tattoo artists (and people who have dodgy tattoos they regret)... 'revenge porn' victims (and perpetrators). I'm not scared to pick the phone up and enjoy getting out from behind my desk to go and meet interesting people face-to-face.

I also have edit producing experience (TX - 'My Big Family Fall Out', Crackit Productions for Channel 5) and several non-TX taster and casting tapes for commissioners at BBC and Channel 4.

Previously working in the in-house development team at Channel 5 Productions creating new Fact-Ent concepts including "Never Teach Your Wife To Drive" (TX 25.10.14), prior to this I was at BBC Entertainment Projects, having completed BBC Worldwide's Future Formats (a contract developing new ideas for BBC Entertainment, ultimately pitching them to commissioners from BBC Worldwide) in 2012. I'm really proud that I entered such a competitive industry through the conventional means of application and interview - avoiding nepotism.

I love projects where I get to meet and work with passionate people and share incredible stories and find I work best in environments that are fun, fair and forward-thinking. Read Less

Claire has a fantastic sense of what makes a great story - she is an accomplished and creative writer, she has is a joy to have on a team and is always bursting with enthusiasm.

Ruth Binsley - Series Producer True North

Claire is a resourceful, make-it-happen AP with a great attitude and a natural ability to charm and push in equal measure to deliver the best TV. She's a good eye for a story and is a confident and experienced caster. She's a great team player too.

Stephanie Harvie Campbell, Series Producer

Claire is highly organised, creative and fantastic with contributors. An excellent team player, she brings an irrepressibly positive attitude to any task or situation. Her work is thorough, timely and she understands how to report up.

Beren Money, Head of Development

Claire has been a great help and support for the In house development team. she has actively involved in casting for one of our shows, seen through the process of creation of a studio based pilot and has often gone above and beyond to get involved in every aspect of production. She is an asset to any team.

Stephanie Wrate Head of Production at 5Production

I had the pleasure of working with Claire for a few months in 2014 when she helped me devise a new format for Channel 5. She was a great asset to the team and was incredibly dedicated to the project. She was confident in presenting new ideas to the format as well as having great people skills with the ability to multi task under pressurised time constraints. I would happily work with her again.

Rebecca Bayatti. Executive Producer

Claire came on board to work with the casting team and from day one was an important member of the production. Highly personable and willing to do whatever it takes to find great contributors, she quickly understood what was required of the role; proved able to adapt to changing situations, was organised and good fun to have around. I would happily have her on my team again.

Richard Cooke, Executive Producer

Claire has been a great researcher within the Entertainment department at the BBC. Over the last year she has developed projects from the germ of an idea through to commission. Her own ideas are passionate and well thought out - ranging from energetic BBC3 ideas to more considered BBC4 propositions. During pilots/run-thrus, she demonstrated good production skills and a flair for people management. Great fun to have around - will be much missed.

Ben Devlin, Producer, Entertainment, BBC
