Having paused my PhD research into the archaeology of Roman Scotland, I now work in TV and media full time. From Richard Herring's Can I Have My Ball Back, to Horrible Histories I've gained an eclectic skillset and a range of storytelling experience in factual and entertainment media.
Though my background is in the Classical world, from my experience in academia, I can gain understandings of subjects at an advanced level, as well as organise myself and my work proactively to brief. I employ these skills to bridge the gap between the academic and media worlds and bring experts and knowledge at the forfront of research onto screen. I am also adept at comedy writing and editing, having been longlisted in Chortz!, the Comedy Crowd sketch writing competition.
I am organised, proactive and savvy, and have progressed through different programs and projects with confidence, kindness, and teamwork. I connect with people, employ my initative, and mold myself to teams as much as I find solutions independently and can deliver on client and company requirements to tight deadlines. Though my specialism is in history I have a proven track record of applying myself in factual, entertainment and comedy projects.
I am primarily based in London and Edinburgh, and have worked between the two on several projects. Though I prefer working from an office, I am set up to work remotely. I love working with new people, gaining new skills and getting stuck into innovative and engaging projects as a researcher, but am looking to progress to AP roles as well.
