I am a student currently in my last year at the University of Exeter studying History and French. I am looking to land a Production Trainee role once I finish university in May/June, in film or television. My enthusiasm to work in both the film and television industry have been clear for some time now with my previous experiences. My eagerness to create content is also clear in my extra-curricular activities as well as my marketing internship in Paris where I was charged with heading social media output and advertising online. I have studied modules in French literature and French film. Averaging a high 2:1. Doing independent research for history has drastically improved my organisational skills, being rigorous yet effective. I have had to be selective in prioritising certain tasks ahead of others. I have become much more autonomous as a result. Extra-curricular activities at university have included XTV, the university’s film society. I have been a keen member of the society and will be directing my first short film in 2021- COVID pending. I have written articles for the university newspapers in French, on French cinema. As well as partaking in photography competitions for the newspaper. I am in the process of completing the Exeter Award. I am a peer mentor which has boosted my leadership and organisational skills. I am currently writing my dissertation on post-World War Two French cinema for history and I have been studying the work of director Ladj Ly for French cultural studies. Read Less
