These are just some of the traits that helped propel Nicola Mc Dermott (Pillai) from a temporary receptionist at a post-Production facility to a tech savvy Producer in just a few short years.She began her career circumnavigating the globe as a flight attendant, so knows a thing or two about how to manage tricky clients. Proving she’s a fast learner and keen to push her own boundaries, Nicola’s experience spans the content development process from initial treatment to storyboarding, from production to post and from launching new ventures to leading large teams.Living in three different countries this past decade whilst successfully juggling the incessant demands of motherhood meant that she learnt how to apply diplomacy, problem solving and a sense of humour when things sometimes went awry. She put them to the test after being drafted in to rescue a project spiralling out-of-control as a VFX Producer on major film production less than a year after giving birth to twins. Acting as peacemaker between financiers and the Director John Moore, she stabilised the situation to enable a picture lock.Nicola has led end-to-end award winning, multi-million pound projects for advertising agencies, brands and production companies alike with charisma, flair and a dogged pursuit of excellence.
