Experience
I have particular experience in archive and digital roles across a variety of genres including children's, comedy ents, reality and fact ents – underpinning all of that is background in journalism and current affairs and a journalistic ethic I always try to bring to my telly work.
Skills and AbilitiesI have a varied and expansive set of skills as a researcher, both in studio and on-location – those include;
- Editing Stills and Video – using Adobe Software including Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Self-shooting – I have shooting experince for broadcast and digital content.
- Archive Research – Fair Dealing and clearing clips, using systems such as the BBC Digital Archive and external archive houses such as Pathe, IWM, Kino.
- Digital and Online Skills – Managing webpages, building votes, competitions and other online interactive elements to support live broadcasts.
- Casting Research – I'm happy to phone bash and conduct social media outreach, can build a great rapport with contributors and ensure their wellbeing and positive experience is a top priority.
- Questions Research – I have some experinece supporting the questions team on a network Saturday night quiz show.
- Journalism – I studied Journalism at university and I always keep up to date with current events and can bring that to editorial strategy and brainstorms. I also regularly work on BBC Radio Scotland's Lunchtime Live and Good Morning Scotland news programmes.
