As a Birmingham local currently employed in Stratford Upon Avon working on the 20th season of Great British Menu with Optomen Television, I am eager to transition into my next production role where I can leverage my background and skills to contribute effectively to a production team. As a member of the deaf and disabled community, I am eager to be involved in a production which celebrates us! My role as a PA and project coordinator for Alison Grade's company Mission Accomplished has afforded me significant exposure to the industry. Specifically, I had coordinated numerous courses for Film and TV professionals, most notably the Create Central Skills Accelerator programmes: Fusion and Step Up to HOD and various ScreenSkills programmes. My responsibilities included organizing schedules, managing logistics, and ensuring the smooth execution of these programmes. Additionally, I am confident in facilitating conflict management workshops for industry professionals. My academic background in Film and TV Studies, complemented by my experience as a qualified secondary English teacher, has equipped me with strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Teaching has instilled in me the ability to manage extensive workloads and work long hours, both of which are essential in the fast-paced production environment. Furthermore, my various roles in hospitality and other sectors have developed my adaptability and customer service skills, making me an asset to any team. I am deeply passionate about the scripted production industry and have cultivated a broad network of contacts, which provides me with a solid understanding of the professional landscape and the diverse roles within a production. I am keen to be a sponge, get my foot in the door and soak up every opportunity and chance to learn! My passion lies in script, not as a writer, but as an editor; but I am eager for any opportunity to get me started.
