I am a longform documentary editor with 25 years of experience building films from the ground up — constructing narrative architecture, shaping arguments, scoring music and guiding the film from raw footage to final cut. I am currently editing Brexit: How Britain Voted Out for Norma Percy and Brook Lapping, BBC Two's major documentary series marking the tenth anniversary of the Brexit vote.

What I bring to an edit goes beyond cutting. I work from the timeline as a writer — assembling sequences that form the spine of the narrative, which the director then develops into a script. I have scored entire series and feature-length films, and on three major BBC series — The Decade the Rich Won, The Property Trap and Immigration: How British Politics Failed — my music choices were used in the final broadcast cut. I am a ready-made creative partner: part editor, part story producer, part executive. The person the director leans on entirely.

My background combines longform documentary with a rigorous discipline in current affairs — the editorial form that demands the most complete set of skills. To cut a sixty or ninety-minute investigative film you must master everything simultaneously: argument structure, character, pacing, archive, music, legal sensitivity and the intelligence to know what the film is really saying. I bring that standard to every project, regardless of genre.

I have edited films for BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, Panorama, This World, ITV1, ITV Exposure, Channel 4 Dispatches, Unreported World, Amazon Prime, Channel 5, Discovery and Universal Pictures.
