I am very keen to pursue a career in TV/Film production and am currently looking for location assistant or runner positions in the sector. Although based in Cornwall, I am free to work anywhere in the UK or abroad at short notice. Relevant Experience I have recently completed three months on site in Kent in a role of a Location Assistant on a Multistorey Media produced scripted reality TV game show where I was employed by Harry Panter of Location Support Ltd. As a Location Assistant I carried out the following functions to support the Location Manager in ensuring the filming ran smoothly: Site maintenance including basic electrics Liaising with land owner and crew regarding care of the manor house and grounds during shooting Work with and coordinate security ensuring location and equipment is protected 24/7 Road clearing and parking for vehicles Erecting Harris fencing and signage Marshalling visitors, crew and public Setting up galleries around site Driving gator and trailer and keeping site tidy Coordinating waste management including arranging pick up of skips, waste bowsers and clearance of honey wagons and bins Moving and erecting tower lights Ensuring health and safety measures such as wire covers were maintained in place Management of footpaths and roads during periods of heavy rain Working closely to coordinate with all the other departments to ensure high levels of communication were maintained and any problems resolved quickly Read Less
