I'm a visual storyteller and camera woman with a background in Science Communication and Marine Science, based in the UK.

I specialise in the ocean visual stortelling, working for two globally leading research institutes over the last 6 years - Earth Sciences New Zealand (ESNZ) and the National Oceanography Centre, UK (NOC).

I currenly lead NOC's social media, managing LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, BlueSky, TikTok, and YouTube channels; creating social-first content that drives growth whilst communicating science and ocean stories that align to corporate strategy and with ocean literacy principles.

For the previous five years I worked in-house in the video team at ESNZ as a photographer/vidfeographer producing short films, digital imagery and photography for use online, in media, social and print. I have worked on location in Antarctica, in the field and on research vessels for extended periods of time.

I have experience developing creative stories based on science, working closely with scientsits to do so. I'm a confident self-shooter, drone pilot, editor and photgrapher. I've experience on a variety of cameras and camera techniques and can develop a story from idea to screen competently. I've experience working at sea producing content on research voyages, setting up and conducting interviews, and working on shoots in the outdoors and in remote environments. I am a keen editor and have an eye for detail and data management. 

In the past I've worked as an intern and researcher at Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ) and am keen to work in the TV and Film industry more. I'm organised, practical, quick-learning and a bubbly team member.  I have a Kiwi can-do attitude, and am a driven problem-solver, with dual NZ and UK citizenship.
