I am willing to travel. Pre-Covid I assisted on a variety of jobs with the Sussex Film Office at short notice as crew to production companies filming on location here in Brighton. So now, after this limbo year and those 'taster assignments' I would very much like to get involved and make some new work. I'm ready to pick up the clipboard, coffee or camera and eager to get out and about, So hit me with it!...I worked in broadcast television making programmes with independent production companies based in Plymouth, which broadcast on ITV Carlton. From TwoFour to Proper TV where as producer to the director of two six-part programmes I pretty much covered all roles! I have had experience in all aspects of the production process, from pitch to broadcast. I have assisted on OB's, television dailies as well one off shorts, social media content, commercials or documentary series, with a small film crew or full studio.The highlight of my television career so far was the making of a 'sex programme' in the early 'noughties' The programme broadcast by ITV Westcountry which ran for two series, was called 'The Nether Region.' and considered highly risqué for national, never mind regional television at the time! The RTS nominated series later sold to the Men and Motors channel.Skills:• Ability to work independently and use initiative with confidence, using judgement where necessary and maintaining a creative, problem-solving approach in fast changing and challenging situations.• Experienced in taking full responsibility in a variety of scenarios, whether live television OB’s, one off interviews, panel discussions, documentary style fly on the wall, presenter or action led filmmaking. I am well practised at generating and reacting to changing content, adapting to the dialogue, environment, or situation. I enjoy developing a story, linking sequences, and naturally edit as shoot, avoiding lengthy rushes to go through.• Creative and hardworking with excellent organisational skills. The filming schedules, research notes and shot lists producing shot lists I produce are of a high standard and have proved to be essential at the edit stage. Extensive experience of researching content for possible items, pre-production planning and contributor briefs.• Conducting interviews on and off camera often requires the ability to draw out anecdotes. The best example of this was shooting vox-pops on the street asking pertinent questions about sexual behaviour to the public! Recognising the take that makes the cut is vital when filming on the hop.• Artistic direction, highly skilled at visualising and producing work to a brief or by commission. In addition to paintings, I produce photography, promotional, print and video content, graphics, design, and copy for dialogues, descriptions, stories, articles, presentations, vlogs and blogs.
