John started his career where he lived in Madrid filming world news and sporting events globally. Then growing a desire to work on documentaries, TV drama and publicity. John's most recent feature documentary is "Quant" directed by Sadie Frost and also feature film entitled "Father of Flies". A psychological horror set in upstate New York, starring Camilla Rutherford in a leading role. The original score for the movie was created by Orri Páll Dýrason of Sigur Rós. Film set for release 2021.
John is an expert of handheld cinematic aesthetics and with a natural gift of finding beauty in any location and creating a filmic look to suit.
Aside from working in narrative, John has a passion for the arts from the Classics to Avant-garde and is a keen painter himself. He is also still following his interest in humanity, anthropology and world events.
