He graduated from Bristol UWE in 2017 with a 1st class honours degree in Filmmaking, and his graduate film Father of the Man achieved world wide success, with many showings in Europe & America, winning Best Short Film at the Vienna Independent Film Festival.He followed this up immediately with Land of Winter, exploring his Irish side, which received similar success, winning Best Irish Short at the Dublin International Short Film Festival, Best Art Direction at the Prague Independent Film Festival, and most recently Best International Young Talent Film at the New Renaissance Film Festival, as well as having many other successful national and international screenings. It is still on the festival circuit.His third film Children of Dawn is going into the circuit now, having already screened at the Solaris Film Festival in Nice, France.Tommy also directs music videos, works as a casting director, curates short films, and mostly produces his own work. He had his first play, Grave, produced at Smock Alley earlier this year and is currently writing a long form historical television drama with filmmaker and classicist Herbert Golder, and has many new short film collaborations coming up, as well as a feature script in the works.
