I've worked across 16 titles so far as a PM across a variety of genres including Live OB's, ‘as live’, children's, factual and specialist factual as well as a range of international shows such as Gi's Italy, R&D's Texas Adventure and the latest series of Cruising with Susan Calman for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5.
My experience across the shows I’ve worked on, has led to me being a strong communicator between production and editorial, and I pride myself on being a well-liked, but equally well-respected member of the companies I’ve worked for from both sides.
For me, working in television or for a TV company as a whole is all about team harmony. We all have a common goal, which is to ensure we create the best product within the resources that we have, and that has always been a mantra of mine. This involves being respected by your colleagues, with a positive ‘can-do’ mentality.
My experience has led to me being very comfortable managing budgets up to £2.5 million, dealing with cashflow, payroll and cost reporting, as well as typical requirements for productions including insurance, programme H&S, Risk assessment, contracting and negotiating. I'm also comfortable in scheduling and overseeing high volume series through production and post production. I’ve also taken programmes from the budget writing stage right through green light to delivery.
I have a particular love and interest for international shows and get a real buzz out of setting these up and working on them. I also have years of experience in a studio environment through my time at ITV and the BBC as a Coordinator/PMA working on shows such as The ITV Debates, Judge Rinder, Emergency Room and Swashbuckle.
I am Manchester based, however willing to travel to work and do have bases in Bristol and London that could allow for me to work in a hybrid capacity in those locations.
