*Working Nationwide* With the main bulk of my roles being in Factual / Fact Ent I have a love of telling and following engaging stories, with a knack for finding the funny and emotion.
Particularly interested in shows featuring the outdoors, cars/motoring, design and restoration but obviously open to all genres.
A background in everything from big multi-cam high octane set pieces to single camera presenter led sequences. Extensive location experience producing and directing talent, contributors, crew and production.
And just as comfortable with pre-production developing ideas, scripting and managing production teams in the office / remotely.
Happy to direct large crews in non-shooting roles or operate as main camera self-shooter with a polished style using a wide range of kit such as Sony FX9 / FX6 / FS7, Canon C300 and gimbal/Ronin, sliders, prime lenses etc - in solo shooting or multi-cam set ups and doing sound if required - (I own a full FX6 kit & FX3 with Ronin Gimbal, Drone) This includes vast foreign shoot experience in the USA, Mexico and throughout Europe in challenging environments. From desert to snow and everything in between.
I love writing sharp, factually sound scripts - with a comedy tone if required.
On the Edit Producer side I’ve taken shows through to the edit as demonstrated on my recent series Outrageous Homes for (C4 10pm), ITV's Eat Shop Save in the 8pm slot and CBBC's Absolute Genius: Monster Builds (Science / Engineering) for which my episode was nominated for an RTS and Children’s BAFTA.
Proficient self editor too with Premiere Pro & Final Cut. Enough knowledge of Avid to pull sync and arrange rushes.
Years of experience working on established, long running shows but have also helped to create formats for many brand new series with a great track record for recommissions - as demonstrated in C4's Find it, Fix it, Flog it which has run for 100+ eps, winning RTS Programme Awards 'Best Daytime' and has since been commisioned for UKTV/Yesterday for 2 new series.
Drone Pilot with CAA Permissions, insurance and own kit. I’ve Provided aerial footage for networks such as BBC, ITV, Discovery, National Geographic, Channel 4, UKTV etc
