I enjoy working with clients with high expectations. I believe that with the technology now available and a positive, problem-solving approach, there is very little that isn’t achievable. I am excited by new challenges as they present the opportunity to step up, think creatively and work out how the job can be done.I have always loved film from as early as I can remember, and grew up wanting to become involved in film making.The opportunity to pursue my dreams came when digital photography became widely available. Prior to that, I joined the British Army after leaving school, where I traveled the world at sea working within the Royal Logistic Corp at 17 Port and Maritime. I was trained in every type of plant machinery from cranes to articulated lorries where we loaded ships in ports and at sea all over the world. This taught me focus, independence and discipline, which I now apply in my daily work.After four years in the Army, I went to University for three years to study for a film making higher national diploma and then a degree. I then moved to London and started working as a production runner on a few drama TV shows, including a BBC comedy. Starting off as a runner on the Sky drama, Dream Team, I worked my way up to second assistant director. During this period I developed valuable knowledge and skills that now form the backbone of my freelance work.I began my freelance career as a news cameraman and editor for a local online TV website called Vision News in Salisbury. Since then I have mainly worked on directing, shooting and editing a wide variety of corporate films, ranging from lingerie viral adverts to documentary film length DVD's for the Help for Heroes charity.My passion has always been horror films and I wrote and directed my first short film, Deranged, in this genre. I have directed two horror feature films for Proportion Productions which have worldwide distribution: House on Elm Lake (for which I also took on the roles of associate writer, editor and colourist); 12 Deaths of Christmas (for which I was also an associate writer). I have also recently edited a science fiction feature film and a horror feature film, both with worldwide distribution.I have been working with the military most of my working life, from four years service in the British Army to now working as a media trainer for Crown Media.The edit platforms I work within are FCP X and Davinci Resolve 16. I have become an extremely fast editor working in the latter, which House on Elm Lake was graded in. My camera skills include anything from standard definition to raw format.I am continuing to write my horror feature film script that is an ongoing labour of love. My aim is that I will one day achieve my dream of producing and shooting it. Read Less
