I’m a self-shooting Series Director with a track record making high-end, character-led films with cinematic flare, using my background as a stills photographer.

I have extensive experience working with vulnerable contributors and sensitive access in challenging environments, and looking after the wellbeing of my contributors and crew. I have navigated the legal and editorial responsibilities of working with the military, police and medical services, as well as contributors dealing with physical and mental health struggles, trauma, bereavement and those facing the death penalty.

I relish making intelligent films with emotional depth, and leading large, specialist teams to deliver powerful, award-winning series. I’m a cinematic shooter on prime lenses and I take tremendous pride in the visual quality of my work. I am also an adept scriptwriter and storyteller, experienced at taking long-form single films and series through the edit to delivery. I have helped shape a number of brand new formats for the BBC, Ch4 and SVOD, and developed successfully-commissioned films for the BBC.

My work has won awards including a D&AD Wooden Pencil, Campaign Big Award, RTS Midlands Award and Broadcast Digital Award, and has been nominated for an Emmy.
