I'm a Scottish-Algerian filmmaker with a focus on social, creative documentary. I hold a BA in Digital Film and Television from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a Masters in Creative Writing from The University of Glasgow.

I directed my first short documentary in 2018 through the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Bridging the Gap scheme. Ululation, explored my relationship with my Algerian family. It has screened at festivals internationally (EIFF, GFF, Cinenova Shorts, Berlin British Shorts, SMHAF) and won a John Byrne Award.

I am often self-shooting and editing and have made films in collaboration with arts projects and charities from around the U.K. including The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, GMAC Film, Connecting Nature, Wonder Fools and Respect Me.

I am currently working on my first feature documentary, Session Zero, a coming-of-age story about my younger brothers growing up whilst playing the fantasy tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons, alongside producer Steven Lake. I was selected as a ‘New Voice’ in 2021 by the Scottish Documentary Institute and a participant in this year's Film in Mind and Doc Society’s supervision group of emerging filmmakers.
