Artist name: Black SodaActress, Creative & Copy Writer, Singer / Songwriter, Radio DJ, Event MC, Poet, Tourism Industry Professional, Facilitator, Events Coordinator, Voice Over ArtistI’m an actress who has been lucky to enjoy an early career in film and television. I started in 2000 where I performed for the first time in a TVC for METRO FM, South Africa as a dancer after acquiring an agent, I began attending a variety of commercial and film castings. After the completion of my drama and film certificate with Boston House College, I soon devoted to a well-known Boutique Acting agency, after I netted a short film: Bennie has Two Mother, Directed, by Namibian, Vivid Tjipura for the gay and lesbian film festival in Cape Town. Since acquiring my agent, at Limited Edition: (List the films) I’ve appeared in numerous TVC’s over the years. The latest project a lead female role in a UK based feature film, directed by Ben Rycroft. Currently named Zandile’s birthday alongside Morne Visser shot on location in Cape Town in the winter of 2016. I suspect this role will propel my career forward in similar roles ad simultaneously bring attention to my Namibian roots and home grown talent. After my speech and drama certification, I spent some time studying under the guidance of Aletta Bezuidenthoudt and Tony Peris as a private student. In 2016 I fell under private tutorship with Lars Arentz Hansen, a Norweigan born actor who starred in various roles as an actor ( starred alongside Leo DiCaprio: (title). As an acting student, after starring in the official trailer of his self-written film, Limpopo Crossing (2016) I am now a voice artist, aspiring voice animation artist and events MC,MUSIC – VOCALISTMy music career started in 2005. I began writing poetry for stage as a reader of Cape Town’s infamous VERSES, hosted by Nicole Biondi. I soon translated my poetry and writing into music from 2012. When I ended a corporate career in Tourism Management and Private Education, at Cape Town Tourism and the International Colleges Group, respectively, my music started with the inception of myself owned company (NPC registered), Collective Objective, which started as a jam session of like-minded artists interested in understanding and sharing our artistic talents and ideas. We met every Sunday, to collaborated under our slogan: Initiate. Collaborate & Create. I spent a few years self-learning with a primary income that came from odd jobs and performances as I struggled through getting to know my inner artist and personal potential. I found creative peace in song writing and the expression of song soon evolved. This would continue for 4 years.I continued to explore my musical expression, teaching myself various techniques, through our collaborative events. Eventually establishing a stage confidence on a daily basis and finding my personal style and vice. In 2014, after having been selected to join a band called the Afbotz, I was invited to tour and live in Europe, Luxembourg, where I started for 4 months in Luxembourg City., working in an entertainment establishment where I learnt to manage sound and music performance events, from marketing, to ‘on the night management including artist liaison. We hosted poetry evenings, album launches and open mic sessions. My time was also filled with comedy nights and personalised events, not to mention, preparing food and dealing with catering, food and beverage provisions.I visited Berlin during my stay and recorded my first LP, Hysteria (Echonomist 2014). With Rotary Cocktail Recordings, which was released in early 2015. Soon I was approached my an international music agent, Christina Larson of Sounds Limited (UK) for worldwide representation. It has been my experience that creating a career from digital music production and release is a long term endeavor. For now, I continue to create music as often as I can, collaborating mostly with European music producers and the electronic dance music Genre.Discography – Black SodaPeace of MIND – Economist (Rotary Cocktail Recordings)
