I am a well-presented, reliable individual; adaptable and flexible in my approach to work, and I understand the importance of punctuality. I am hardworking with a passionate interest in post-production. I work well in a team and I enjoy collaborating to achieve a common goal. In July 2017, I graduated from the University of South Wales, where I studied BA (Hons) Film, specialising in editing, where my skills and experience greatly increased; including attaining Avid Certified User status. My experience includes completing a post-production internship with Wildflame Productions and shadowing an editor at Gorilla Post-Production to gain additional experience. Most recently, I acquired a short-term contract as an Edit Assistant at BBC Wales. During my contract there I worked on many different types of program. In these seven months, I’ve gained experience working with different forms of media including rushes from camera cards, hard drives, web sharing services, and tape-based content. This has given me valuable knowledge working with a variety of codecs and which best to use in which scenario. I have worked with different types of exports and deliverables including; AS-11s, low and high res viewing copies (with and without burnt in timecode) and well as ProRes exports. I have also needed to conform shows in order to bring the footage from offline to online. I spent three months working as an Edit Assistant on Pobol Y Cwm. During this time, I was responsible for preparing cards for PSC shoots, backing up and labelling rushes for the editor, syncing sound and/or grouping clips for multiple camera shoots as well as creating AS-11s for file delivery. I would also subtitle promos for social media sites, export promo WAVs for radio, burn finished episodes to DVD, and occasionally create AAFs for dub, both on and offsite. I am based in Newport and I am looking to further my career within the industry and build upon my knowledge and skills. Read Less
