Marlon Quintero is an Emmy nominated producer and book author with over 25 years of experience. He has led the development and production of more than 4,500 hours of television programming globally and wrote the first book on Innovation for Media Content Creation which highlights the importance of strategy, creativity and innovation as an integrated philosophy to create and produce successful content in the media industry.
As Managing Director of CIC Media (Center for Innovation and Creativity in Media), he has led the production of projects for The Weather Channel (Uncharted Adventure), BBC Studios (Deadly Disasters), Sky HistoryUK (Secret Wars Uncovered I and II), History Channel (Race To Victory), Cineflix and A&E International (Timeline of The Century), Televisa Networks (Musicos en la Calle), Off The Fence and Warner Media (Disruptive Nature) Sony Entertainment Television (Todo por La Corona) among others. In 2019 launched the global digital content initiative “Oh My Pet” encompassing 96 hours of programming, short form and a linear channel on the Pluto TV platform in alliance with Viacom. In 2014, Quintero led the implementation of the Global Entertainment Format Operation for Televisa Internacional, providing through his company an integral service entailing, strategic, international creative development, and overall production supervision of formats implementation in countries such as US, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Russia, Poland, Vietnam, Holland, Turkey and Italy. Quintero has activated a strong pipeline of nonfiction and fiction content and is currently setting up fiction co-productions in both the Hispanic and Anglo world involving Canada, UK, New Zealand, Spain, Mexico, and USA. CIC has also worked for clients such as Warner Brothers (Nip Tuck Colombia, Gossip Girl Mexico and OC Malaysia), Zodiak, Hola TV, Viacom Digital Studios, Sony Music, Cisneros, and Universo.
In his career, Quintero has held leadership positions at Univision (Director of Development) and Sony Pictures Television (VP of Development and Current) where he achieved a high level of success leading the production of many international non-scripted and scripted initiatives such as “Los Simuladores”, “Los Caballeros Las Prefieren Brutas”, “Isa TKM”, “Ninas Mal”, “Al Filo de La Ley” and created the longest running original format in the US Hispanic “Nuestra Belleza Latina”. Quintero is a pioneer in the production of weekly premium fiction series in Latin America and the US Hispanic Market and is also credited with leading production initiatives for MTV, Nickelodeon, Televisa, Telemundo, and Televen.Marlon Quintero is an industrial engineer with a Master of Arts with honors in Television Production from San Francisco State University and an MBA with focus on Entertainment, Marketing and International Business from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. In 2015, after publishing his book: Innovation for Media Content Creation, he launched the training initiative Innovation MCC. As part of this initiative, Quintero presented multiple seminars and workshops in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Mexico and Caracas. Quintero is also an adjunct professor at Florida International University where he teaches Innovation for content creation at the graduate level in the school of Communications.
