While there she oversaw the company’s entire development slate, consisting of both film and TV projects, and was responsible for sourcing new material and talent, overseeing projects in all states of production, and evaluating preexisting IP for adaptation from sister company AMBI Films’ extensive library. While at Paradox she was an Associate Producer on Mark Steven Johnson’s Finding Steve McQueen, and worked on Black Butterfly and Trading Paint.
Previously, she worked as Director of Development for BiFrost Pictures and John Ptak at Arsenal film as Creative Director, learning the intricacies of the foreign financing market and liaising closely with Untitled Entertainment. While with BiFrost, she worked as the development executive on several projects including Paul Bettany’s directorial debut Shelter, starring Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie, and Don Cheadle’s Miles Ahead, on which she served as an Associate Producer.
She has produced numerous short films and the hit webseries School of Thrones and Muzzled the Musical. Her latest short film Emit, starring Heroes alum Jack Coleman, has been well received at many film festivals, including SciFi London, NBCU’s Diversity Showcase, Fantasia International Film Festival, and aired on PBS as part of their 2014 Shorts Showcase. She is currently in post-production on her first indie feature The Blackout, written and directed by Daniela de Carlo and starring an incredible, diverse cast of up-and-coming talent.
Alex is currently an independent development consultant and producer working on a home invasion horror film and a period piece about the real life story of two men who used their friendship with boxing legend Muhammad Ali to steal $22 million from Wells Fargo, which remains one of the biggest sports scandals in history. She also produces high quality branded content for the web, most recently working on a joint venture with Magic: The Gathering and Legendary Digital Network that culminated in a 30 minute cross-promotional video, A Magic Moment with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
