From 2002 to 2011 he worked as first assistant camera in Italian cinema, working in important productions enriching a wide experience. Director of photography and documentary filmmaker, since 2004 he has worked in films and documentaries, under the direction of various Italian authors (Nanni Moretti, Franco Maresco, Emanuele Crialese). In 2009 he won the Jury Prize at the Turin Film Festival and the AUGUSTUS COLOR award for Best photo for the documentary film "The Cambodian Room" (Co-produced by Kolam _ France and Downtown_ Italy, 9) selected in many international festivals and distributed from ARTE WDR in the French and German channels. In 2012 he opened a cinema group in the Kino cinema in Rome in the Pigneto area, in the same year he began his collaboration with the Gian Maria Volontà School of Cinema in Rome, offering practical workshops in the direction of photography and documentary course. From 2012 he began a close collaboration with Franco Maresco realizing several films as director of photography: "Belluscone, a Sicilian story" winner of a Venice Film Festival in 2014, David di Donatello, "The men of this city do not know them", out of competition in Venice, both reported by Parthenos. "The mafia is was no to be" the last job with Maresco, in 2019, winner of Special Jury Prize at Venezia 76. Since 2013 he has worked as a director and director of photography for Sky, Sky-Arte HD and Rai for one-off and serial documentaries especially with the production Ballandi, Ballandi Arts. In 2017 he won the Best Documentary Film Award at the Ferrara Film Festival with the film "Simplemente estamos aqui" co-directed with Simone Carnesecchi, co-produced by Argo Film (Italy) and Perro Negro Cine Mexico (Mexico). From 2018 he became a member of the prestigious AIC association, an association that promotes the importance of the role and work for the direction of photography in Italian cinema.
