Addie has extensive production experience spanning over 25 years for ITV, All3Media and BBC, amongst others. Starting as a trainee continuity announcer and then runner at ITV Yorkshire, Addie has worked her way up as 3rd AD, 1st AD, PM and Head of Production. She has worked on all four of the big UK serial dramas and was HoP at Hollyoaks and Production Manager at Coronation Street for very successful tenures.
Having worked on shows such as Heartbeat, Touch of Frost, Countdown, My Parents are Aliens, Emmerdale, Barking and Jinx, Addie has a large wealth of experience to draw from, is a mentor for Women in Film and Television, was a member of Channel 4’s Mentoring Diversity Network as well as trainer on the pan-industry Project Diamond Diversity monitoring scheme. When not delivering industry training she is also an Associate Lecturer at the Northern Film School.
Addie set up her own training company over 7 years ago, delivering bespoke training nationally and internationally for production companies, broadcasters, studios, ScreenSkills, The Film and TV Charity, PACT, The Production Guild, Netflix, BBC, ITV, TRC, BECTU, Screen Yorkshire and others.
She is passionate about the need for inclusive leadership and management across the screen industries and designed and delivers on behalf of ScreenSkills, the flagship Leadership Essentials training, which has trained hundreds of HODS across HETV, children’s, animation, VFX and Unscripted.
In addition to this training, Addie works as a production consultant (most recently for the BBC and Lavender Pictures) and regularly delivers bespoke training and mentoring around bullying and harassment, equality and diversity for professionals across tv and film, from trainees right through to Line Producers and Execs.
