I'm an enthusiastic creative based in Kent/London. Primarily, I have experience working on location on reality/ blue light obs doc style shows and I love working with people supporting a team.
Earlier this year, I was awarded funding from the highly competitive Churchill Fellowship to create a podcast and documentary for schools exploring the public perception of facial differences across the US, Prague and UK. I pitched, produced, filmed and edited the feature length documentary solo. Creating this piece independently for such a respected organisation has given me a sharp eye for detail and strengthened my communication skills. The documentary has resonated heavily with viewers so far and was also nominated for BAFTA Breakthrough.
I thrive working on location in busy environments and getting thoroughly stuck into projects. Whether its rigging go pros on a boat, working alongside police/border force, caring for high profile talent or casting contributors at festivals, I'm keen to support a team however needed.
I was promoted from runner to researcher on a CTV show, Queen of the Castle. This highly extravagant show explores a castle renovation and is led by Real Housewives of Toronto star, Dr Ann Kaplan Mullholland. The series producers are keen for every moment to be historically accurate. I thrived sourcing relevant props and exploring historical events. For example, fact checking the order of service for a coronation to create a brief for producers. I also impacted script work on this show by suggesting additional ideas such as hiring animatronics for a parade!
I was able to plan two high profile events involving hundreds of individuals within a week. This involved a high level of organisation from casting locals as 'cardinals', designing a castle flag and I shared an idea with producers to hire live animatronics for a parade which I was able to turn around within a 72 hour period. I believe I was instrumental in supporting this shoot particularly co-ordinating the logistics of various acts like juggling stilt wakers and buglers!
For the past five years I've created digital first content working with a range of brands including The o2, The Science Museum, Citizen's Advice, Boots and Superdrug. My experience is primarily in beauty short form content however, I have also created content for live events (theatre, festivals, concerts) and lifestyle.
I love connecting with people and for 3 years I volunteered for West Kent Radio producing and presenting over 9 hours of weekly output both live and pre recorded on Myriad. I was a Made in Kent Radio Star finalist and featured on BBC Upload with an accompanying interview.
At university, I was heavily involved in the Theatre, Film and Television societies. I was part of over 50 projects including a sell-out multi media show I created and directed at Edinbrugh Fringe. I also created a NASTA nominated sitcom whilst Head of Light Entertainment for the university television station.
Outside of radio, tv and film, I love theatre, hirstory, music and travelling. I'm based in Kent, an easy commute to London/Brighton and I have connections across the UK (Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham etc.) I can stay with for projects.
