With over 10 years experience in professional audio, the last 4 spent in film, I am accustomed to taking projects from concept to completion. Throughout my experience, I have been able to confidently manage all the responsibilities of the sound department as well as providing technical support for the other departments. This has facilitated the smooth running of productions I have been a part of. Both during the shoot and in post production, my communication skills and attitude have enabled me to successfully organise the smooth and timely running of projects by liaising with multiple departments. My friendly, positive demeanour achieves excellent results in ADR sessions by putting artists at ease and allowing them to concentrate fully on their performance. Through my previous work in live sound and current role in film, I have attained an excellent ear for detail. This enables me to work highly efficiently in audio post production. I excel in fixing flaws in recordings and conforming replaced dialogue into the correct auditory environment using equalization and time-domain effects. My masters degree was invaluable in providing me with the lexicon of film sound and the framework with which people experience sound in media. I have a passion for learning and look to continuously add to my skill set and understanding throughout my career. My technical skills include: audio editing; mixing; sound design; Foley; ADR; location recording; field recording; adhering to deliverable format standards; audio restoration; multiple synthesis and sample manipulation techniques. I am highly competent in the use of:Pro Tools; Reaper; Kontakt; Waves and Izotopes plug-ins; procedural audio applications such as Pure Data and Max/MSP. On various film projects and working as a senior live sound engineer, I have spent much of my time performing diligently under pressure and to strict deadlines. As a senior live sound engineer I have demonstrated my ability to competently lead and coordinate large scale events with consistently positive results.
