I am creative, hard-working and highly adaptable with experience in unscripted factual and natural history TV. As a Geographical Science graduate, and from my first career as a secondary school teacher, I have an excellent knowledge of the natural world with a particular interest in global environmental issues. In addition, I am a trained horticulturalist and have a passion for plant science. I can spot a good story and am able to find excellent contributors and locations. I'm confident talking to people from all walks of life, putting them at their ease and seeking out the salient facts. I am skilled at disseminating complex information and pulling it together in a thorough, accurate yet concise way whilst always keeping a focus on making interesting and insightful editorial.

During my TV career I have had experience of many different shoots from filming with key talent at the main presenter’s home to ‘as live’ filming at flower shows such as Hampton Court and Chelsea. I am confident with script-writing, script-editing and seeing whole programmes through from initial research to the final edit. I have scripted, directed and edit-produced insert VTs and am able to operate a second camera on shoots. I love being on location and approach it with efficient, practical calm. I ensure filming days run smoothly by forward-planning, predicting and dealing with problems before they happen.
