I am an award winning Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer who has spent more than two decades making documentaries, from intimate observational documentaries to international presenter led journeys, drama docs to investigative current affairs. Previous to my current role in commissioning at the BBC for Docs and Science & Natural History, the last 2 years have been spent freelance Exec Producing on singles & series for linear and streamers as well as winning my own commission and support from Channel 4 as an emerging indie, producing Death on the Common: My Mother’s Murder for the channel; I have also Executive Produced for Optomen on Johnny vs Amber for Discovery+ and a still to be broadcast police access series for ITV as well as most recently for Label1 on their current commission Soldier: Made in Yorkshire for BBC One.Until 2020 I was Exec Producer at Blakeway North for 6 years where I built a slate of documentaries including singles and series for the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
