I'm currently pursuing trainee entry levels positions in the industry.I'm a Film and Literature Graduate from the University of Southampton with some experience of working on short films, and so I am seeking opportunities to develop and gain further experience. I have written several scripts, for both short and full feature films, and several short stories and plays, which I have published and made available along with my film and theatre reviews on my wordpress blog
https://edlear30.wordpress.com/category/screenplay/ .Until 2022 I’d been employed as a Social Work Coordinator (PA) with the Children’s Services Disabled Children’s Team where I’d supported social workers with tasks and assessments, including payments, to children with special needs and families across Hampshire, who are both involved in foster care services and parents receiving support for childcare and school education. I had previously been employed on temporary contracts with Children’s Services as an administrator for the Transport Services team and then with Adult Services in the Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) team.Following my redundancy from Biomed in 2014 I’d joined Rethink Mental Illness's business development team to write and manage tender bids which offered accommodation and support for service users using the charity’s services. For the past nine months I’d been employed on temporary contracts as a Finance Administrator for Old Mutual Wealth and Council Pension services team (LGPS), and where I’ve provided services for both clients transferring their investments and parents on a low income applying for transport and financial assistance. As a member of BMC’s Production Editor team I’d developed my skills when resolving issues at a professional level. The role demanded a high level of time-keeping, preparation and organisational skills when assisting authors and colleagues during the production process after manuscripts had completed the peer review stage. One of the benefits had been working with stakeholders to improve the content management system and the turnaround times whilst learning about XML and receiving feedback on our monthly KPI objectives.
