I’m Michael Percival, a UK-based freelance Offline Editor with 25 years’ broadcast experience across unscripted, factual entertainment and reality series, alongside short-form promos, social and branded content.

I’m known for strong storytelling instincts, calm delivery under pressure, and turning large volumes of material into pacey, character-led edits that land emotionally and comedically.Avid Media Composer is my main platform (25 years, fully proficient) and I’m also fully proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (15+ years).

I’m highly organised with projects and workflows—clean timelines, clear versioning, and smooth collaboration with producers, directors and post teams. I also bring strong Photoshop skills for animatics/graphics, confident audio clean-up, and working knowledge of GFX for template-driven motion.

Recent highlights include long-form broadcast credits such as Wheeler Dealers, TOWIE (Christmas specials), Say Yes To The Dress and Don’t Tell The Bride: Revisited, plus campaign and short-form work including BBC “Things We Love” idents and a series of stop-motion animated shorts for Coinbase co-produced with Aardman.
