I am a Director/Editor with 15 years experience working in the creative entertainment industry, I have extensive history of producing visual content and making films; from establishing my own production company, to working within the Film Unit at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and latterly as the Assistant Head of Sound & Broadcast at the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM).My interest in filmmaking began at the tender age of ten, as I was fortunate enough to have access to a linear edit system. I became fascinated with the process of constructing a story by layering footage from one deck to another, which became a childhood hobby.I have recently returned to the UK after 5 years working at the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) in Oman and am delighted to direct my focus towards freelance film production, as a Director/Editor and with an aim to create diverse, memorable and thought provoking films.Prior to my return, I was the Assistant Head of the Sound & Broadcast Department at ROHM working in a primarily managerial position, focusing on effective relationship management with key internal and external contacts. Living and working in Oman has not only enabled my professional development but has also provided me with a rich wealth of experience personally and culturally, which has played a significant part on my personal development.Before moving to the Middle East I worked full-time for the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon and was responsible for the production of a variety of cinematic style theatrical concept trailers, which were distributed across a multitude of platforms such as cinema, television and online.Whilst employed at the RSC, I also collaborated on concept trailers, music videos and feature documentaries for other well-known theatre companies and artists including Kate Tempest, Shlomo, The Globe Theatre, The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, The Royal Court, BAC and the Bush Theatre.I have a strong technical skillset and experience is all aspects of digital cinema production, taking on a multitude of roles including Director, DOP, Editor, Producer, and Production Manager; and have set up a Editing/Finishing suite in Oxfordshire.
