I bridge the gap between elite Television production and cutting-edge screen industry research. Over a 23-year career in UK television, trained in visual anthropology, I have risen from a runner to a BAFTA-winning and Grierson-nominated Series Producer and self-shooting Director. I have spent over two decades on the frontlines of high-stakes broadcasting, making hard-hitting social justice documentaries, directing flagship current affairs for Panorama and Dispatches, and managing complex safety operations in hostile environments alongside Bear Grylls for the BBC, Channel 4, and ITV.
Today, alongside my film work, I am leveraging my industry experience into advanced PhD research focused specifically on UK neurodivergent production crew and ethical contributor documentation.
As a workshop leader for ScreenSkills, film schools and universities (including Salford Media Centre, NFTS, Met Film School, UAL and Sussex University) - I know how to engage a room and deliver actionable industry toolkits. I am now booking paid international keynotes, broadcaster masterclasses, and corporate consultation sessions that translate my frontline experience and research into practical production solutions.
Keynote & Masterclass Topics:
The Neuro-Inclusive Set: Operational frameworks to attract, support, and retain neurodivergent crew without stretching production budgets.
Beyond the Consent Form.
Evolving Duty of Care: ethical human documentation, and protecting vulnerable contributors in unscripted TV.
From Runner to Series Producer: Modern leadership, psychological safety, and crew welfare in high-pressure and hostile filming environments.
