I'm a confident and reliable Shooting AP / PD for specialist factual, observational documentary and factual entertainment television, with experience across science, history, human, wildlife, adventure, true crime and food stories. I enjoy variety in my work and can turn my hand to any topic, but I have a personal passion for marine and natural history stories. I have worked on shows for the BBC, Sky Nature, Curiosity Stream, Netflix, ZDF, ARTE, Channel 5, A+E Networks and Crime + Investigation. I have bases in Bristol and the West Midlands, but can also adapt to work from London and Brighton if required. 

I have a creative and thorough approach to editorial, and can see a production through from conception to end of edit. My experience includes specialist research, scripting, scheduling, casting, securing access, fact-checking, logging and archive management. I work well with people from all walks of life, including high-profile talent, experts and scientists. I also have experience working with vulnerable contributors, handling difficult topics with sensitivity and professionalism. I am competent setting up complex shoots around the world, working to tight deadlines and budgets and ensuring the smooth running of schedules. 

I have a strong editorial head and excel at producing complex ideas into accessible storylines for an audience. I really enjoy piecing together evolving narratives as they unfold on location, and understand how to capture an interesting and exciting sequence for an edit. I have some experience as a Shooting PD on BBC The One Show, and am not afraid to own and direct whole sequences. 

As a skilled self-shooter, I also do work as a camera operator, both as a single cam and within multi-cam setups. I thrive on location in fast-paced environments, as well as having experience in controlled studio environments. I have international filming experience in remote and challenging locations - from glaciers and mountains, to jungles and wetlands, to busy cities and prestigous buildings, to boats and the underwater world as a HSE Part IV commercial diver. I am comfortable across a range of camera setups including Sony (FX9, FX6, FX3), Canon, DJI, GoPro, RED and ARRI, as well as having experience in specialist filming techniques such as long lens, macro, underwater and infra-red. I also have my own Sony FX6 kit and a DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro drone and drone license. 

I have a valid i-visa and a full, clean driving license. Read Less
