Cheerful and hard-working Director/EP.During my 13+ years within the industry I have kept both my career and skillset varied by working across a range of genres and continually striving to enhance both my technical and editorial abilities.From adventure filming in the Congolese jungle or Bulgarian wilderness, to working on big dating/reality shows, competition formats or specialist-factual ob-docs, I pride myself on my people skills and work best on character-led programs. I’m very experienced in directing ‘real life’ contributors in a doc set-up as well as directing talent/reality, and feel very comfortable straddling these two very different producing styles.Technical Skillset:* 10 years of self-shooting experience (FX9/FX6/FS7/C300 etc), including managing my own sound and data wrangling. Also very experienced with shooting in multi-cam set-ups alongside crew. Expect well-shot footage crafted for the edit. Experienced with shooting on prime lenses.* Able to cut proficiently on all editing software (Avid, FCP, Premier) to the level of being able to rough cut episodes ready to be polished by editor.Editorial skillset:* Series PD able to take a project from commission to edit delivery.* Experienced across a variety of genres and able to adapt producing style accordingly.* Experienced in directing crew.* Strong writing skills and great editorial instincts for knowing how best to build a story in the edit.* 10 years casting experience with proven track record of finding A stories, leading a casting team and independently casting paid-developments from start to finish. Expect fast-turn around, great stories and top notch casting tapes.* Experienced in scripting, forward planning, securing access etc.* Very experienced in working with children with good knowledge of child protection/filming protocols.
