While the majority of my recent work has been in casting, I have also worked as a Researcher, Shooting Researcher, Welfare Researcher, Archive Researcher and Edit Assistant. This varied experience has given me a strong understanding of the full production process and the ability to work confidently across multiple areas of production.
*CASTING*
Casting is the area of television I’m most passionate about and experienced in. I enjoy building rapport quickly by approaching every conversation like I'm talking to a friend and genuinely interested in what they have to say. I'm always mindful to cultivate an open and friendly environment where contributors feel comfortable sharing their stories.
Experienced in:
Running large-scale outreach campaigns
Managing high volumes of phone, Zoom and in-person interviews
Writing engaging contributor biographies
Cutting casting tapes
Conducting thorough background checks across social media, Google and LexisNexis
*WELFARE*
On Unique Boutique (C4), I was lucky enough to come onto set as a welfare researcher after the casting process. I worked with contributors with a range of apparent and nonapparent disabilities and ensured their experience on the show was as positive as possible. I greatly enjoyed this and would love the opportunity to do this in the future.
*ARCHIVE*
As an Archive Researcher on Great British Menu (BBC), I sourced and cleared video, stills and music from archive databases and individual rights holders
*EDIT ASSISTANT*
On You’re Fired! (BBC), I used Avid to organise rushes, arrange sequences and create rough cuts for the edit team.
*SHOOTING RESEARCHER*
On Great British Menu, I developed story ideas, secured locations, sourced experts and travelled nationwide to support shoots on location.
*CAMERA & EDITOR*
Before working in television, I worked as a professional videographer creating digital content for brands and organisations including Fairtrade, Virgin and several universities.
