Wills provided sterling support as AP during long days on location, dealing skilfully with contributors, keeping on top of mountains of data wrangling and generally making sure our team stayed safe and well. He flew his drone on a daily basis and his beautiful, thoughtful aerial footage is a huge asset to the film. He's a thoroughly nice chap to boot, and I highly recommend him.
I had the pleasure of working with Wills on a very challenging multi - camera coordinated block of filming recently and he absolutely excelled in all respects. His drone work was excellent and it was an incomparable asset to have someone like Wills with such great technical knowledge and unflappable temperament to rely upon during highly pressurised, run and gun filming days. Moreover, I was very impressed with Wills' ability to work as a strong and reliable team player with a fantastic 'can do' approach on location. I would strongly recommend Wills for all further projects and very much hope to work with him again in the future.
Wills worked for me on an 8x60 series filmed in 4 weeks, 2 locations a day. `It was a punishing schedule.
The project would have been impossible without Wills and his incredible hard work and diligence. I was self shooting PD and Wills gave technical support across all areas - sound, drone, Osmo, camera assisting. Wills delivered in all these areas, always to a very high standard and always with a smile. He became totally engaged with the project in every way - technical, narrative, contributors etc. He was terrific to be on the road with, very collegiate and professional.
I could not recommend him highly enough, he's an outstanding team player.
I worked with Will on C4's popular doc series, Chateau DIY (used to be called Escape to the Chateau DIY). We spent five weeks on the road filming at different locations all over France. It was just the two of us, and I can say without hesitation that Will was professional, friendly and a good travel companion. Although his grade was officially that of a Researcher, he was happy and comfortable taking on AP responsibilities. Will demonstrated excellent technical skills, data management, an understanding of what was needed editorially and a friendly confident manner with the contributors who all trusted him and enjoyed working with him. I very much hope to work with Will again in the future and have no hesitation in recommending him as an AP or Snr Researcher.
