Experienced senior television producer, writer and occasional director, with twenty years experience producing and developing a diverse range of high-profile documentaries and factual series for all major UK TV channels and global streamers. I hold a current US I-Visa.
Over the past seven years I have specialised in lead producing premium A-list talent-led factual/unscripted streamer series, producing talent such as Jeff Goldblum, Eugene Levy, Antoni Porowski, Florence Pugh and Justin Theroux. I am editorially astute and visually ambitious, used to writing compelling pre-shoot episode outlines, supervising large teams, and working with big crews and A-list hosts and contributors. I believe the best films are truly collaborative and I'm committed to creating and maintaining a happy and supportive working environment.
I have recently expanded into senior producing / edit producing premium unscripted content in the branded sphere (both short and long form films) for a variety of platforms including YouTube.
Prior to this I specialised in definitive arts, history and culture documentaries and series, increasingly overseeing these films from development through to production and into the edit. I have a strong instinct for story and structure, and have a particular reputation for negotiating, securing and maintaining sensitive access to artists and their often complicated estates.
Over the past decade I have also collaborated on films with award-winning director, writer and executive producer Richard Curson Smith. These documentary films have been nominated for two BAFTA Scotland awards (Specialist Factual 2016 and 2017), two Grierson awards (Best Arts Documentary 2016 and 2017), a Canadian Screen Award (Best Biography or Arts Documentary Program or Series 2016) and we won the Celtic Media Arts Prize in 2016.
