Needing to satisfy the creative itch, I transitioned into a small production company in Brooklyn, where I managed the day-to-day business operations while overseeing roughly six films' expenditures in development or production that included "The Witch" and "American Honey". Unfortunately the company folded, but I was shortly hired by the then defunct company's former financiers, where I worked in a chief-of-staff capacity to the CEO. I was the go to and right hand man to the company's co-founder and was across all branded content, film, television and music video operations during the company's acquisition by Vice Media. I no longer wanted to be tied to a desk, so after a brief period off, I worked freelance in order to get my hands dirty on set. I worked on film and TV productions of all sizes in order to understand what goes in to a smooth shoot. Most recently I was hired by a small creative agency called RanaVerse to produce two campaigns: Unilever's "United We Stand" and Equinox's "Life's A Ball" both in celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of NYC PRIDE. I went above the stated duties, from drafting budgets and providing logistical expertise, to creative ideation in writing the director's treatment, crafting brand messaging (mine favored over the PR agency's), drafting copy for all social posts and delivering all ~25 individual campaign assets. My experience has been both broad and deep, with skills ranging from detailed oriented operations, to creative insight, asset delivery and almost everything in between aside from pointing a camera and shooting. I am currently in production on my first documentary feature, Executive Produced by Maiken Baird, who won the 2017 Oscar for Best Documentary. I would love to join a team that is forward thinking in their approach to creating original material and I hope to hear from you soon.
