I am a self-motivated and enthusiastic twenty-one-year-old that thrives when working in a collaborative environment and feels a huge sense of achievement when completing a project. I am a graduate from Falmouth University with a first-class degree in Film BA. Over the past three years I have studied all areas of film making and have been heavily orientated around directing and post production which has involved creating risk assessments and supervising sets; this has developed my organisational, time management and leadership skills. My interest in post-production has also allowed me to become more comfortable with software’s such as Adobe Da Vinci, Avid Media Composer and Avid Pro Tools.As part of my final year at University, I directed a short film The Armstrong Sisters alongside an all-female crew. Through my role as director, I showed that I am able to work successfully in a team whilst using my own initiative. The project highlighted my effective leadership, as it allowed me to be present at every stage of production, contributing to the shared vision of the final film. From my studies it is evident that I am a consistent and academically strong problem solver practically and in writing. Through my dissertation I demonstrated my ability to deliver an original argument on the charity MediCinema, which was underpinned with scholarly research, interviews and screenings that I had set up. My dissertation shows that I have the aptitude to complete written work to a high standard, within strict timescales.
I have over 5 years combined experience working as an administrative assistant, a bartender and as a waitress with additional retail experience. I work well in a team and am a fast learner who can apply myself to any task I am set.
