Her debut short, Hesitation, won prizes internationally and was nominated for a BAFTA. Her debut feature film as writer-director, A Long Way From Home, starring Natalie Dormer, James Fox and Brenda Fricker was nominated for the Michael Powell award for Best British Feature and was released theatrically by Thunderbird Releasing. She is currently developing three features as writer-director: Travelling Companion, with Blinder Films and Screen Ireland, adapted from her debut novel;Learning By Heart with Moonriver Content producer Xavier Marchand and US project Virginia Hall, produced by Nancy Ganis, Out of the Blue. Television projects include a 3-part original TV series in development with Lionsgate and a six-part original TV drama series with producer Zoe Rocha, Rubyrock Pictures. Recent credits include writing the 2019 series finale of BBC 1’s Silent Witness: ‘Betrayal; directing Screen Ireland’s 2018 award-winning short film Day Out, starring Martin McCann; writing and directing the award-winning TV documentary series Whores and writing, creating and Exec Producing the IFTA-nominated TV series An Irish State of Mind. Radio credits include a season of her short fiction under the banner Abroad, four original dramas for BBC Radio 4, and directing Freemantle Media’s inaugural drama podcast for their Storyglass label, Baby, It’s Cold Outside, starring Chris O’Dowd and Anne-Marie Duff.
