I am the sole director and consultant of The Animal Welfare Consultancy (TheAWC), offering bespoke animal welfare advice. I have been the animal welfare consultant on a number of high profile productions including Clarkson's Farm, All Creatures Great and Small, The Pet Show, Pooch Perfect UK, Animal Rescue Live, and many more productions including television, advertising, theatre and live events. In addition to this my other work includes writing policies and procedures for licensed businesses that use animals such as breeding establishments, pet shops and boarding establishments. Before this I spent nearly 20 years working for the UK’s largest animal welfare charity, the RSPCA. During that time I spent over 10 years researching, developing and co-writing the RSPCA’s ‘Guidelines for the Welfare of Performing Animals’. From my years as an Inspector in the RSPCA's Special Operations Unit I am able to provide expert knowledge on puppy farming, puppy importation, badger persecution and dog-fighting. During my career my duties consisted of gathering intelligence and investigating serious and organised animal cruelty including cruelty in zoos, circuses & pet shops. Read Less
