I strive to produce factual wildlife stories in a fresh way that brings unique insight into the mysteries of our natural world and captivates the viewer. I want them to fall in love with the animal characters as I do. I believe it is only when we understand and admire something, that we feel compelled to preserve it.I have twenty years of wildlife filmmaking experience both in the field and in the edit suite, writing, producing and directing. I’ve been based in South Africa for most of this time, but I do have an EU passport and also lived in the UK for 8 years. I have no dependents and love to travel and work in the field, so I am very flexible on any projects in any country.I have extensive experience in the field in Africa and have directed and produced shows in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Gabon, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Congo, leading crews through some pretty treacherous and tricky situations at times. I speak French and German and the French in particular is useful in some of the central African countries which don’t speak English. Having first-hand experience directing film crews in these countries is an asset I would love to be able to use for the benefit of future productions, whether on a consultancy basis or as a producer/director.I'm eager and available to work anywhere on the planet that needs my experience and skill set.
